Buckingham Healthcare was developed in 2002 by Chris Clarke who is a practicing Occupational Therapy Manager for Portsmouth NHS Trust.

Chris is a principal director of Buckingham Healthcare along with Simon Buckingham and Chairman, Paul Leith-Smith.

Chris graduated from Southampton University with a BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy and prior to this received an LLB Hons in Law at Canterbury University.

It was when working in her role as a junior O.T. that Chris developed the idea for the original Buckingham Walking Frame Caddy for non-folding walking frames.

The original Caddy was developed to help reduce the number of falls where people were using wheeled trolleys as walking aids instead of their walking frame. People would often use a trolley instead of their walking frame because it was impossible to carry anything safely whilst walking with their frame.

Along with the team, Chris has continued to develop brand new and innovative products for the disability arena.

Alongside the experience and knowledge that Chris brings to Buckingham Healthcare in the field of Occupational Therapy, Simon has twenty years experience in nursing and has two nursing degrees.

Simon now travels extensively and oversees the design, the production and the supply chain of our products to the United Kingdom from abroad.

Buckingham Healthcare prides themselves on producing and delivering high quality components and products to the disabled marketplace.

At Buckingham Healthcare we believe that good design is the key to innovation and because of this we work only with the best design houses in the UK.

There are more new and innovative products to be added to the Buckingham Range in 2007/2008.

Buckingham Healthcare has been commissioned by one of the largest and most respected suppliers in Healthcare equipment to re design and produce a number of their existing lines of equipment.

We have a number of selected and preferred partners for the distribution of our products amongst which are; Homecraft Rolyon, Nottingham Rehab Supplies, Smitcare, Promedics and Days Healthcare UK.

All Buckingham products have International Patents Pending and have the CE mark.
